Oro Mauri in collaboration with Te Whare Taonga o Waikato presents Hine Raumati: Wharenui Harikoa, activating your own Wharenui Harikoa. This whare stands as a reflection of our own internal House of Joy.
Through these after-hours sessions we will explore Wharenui Harikoa as a space of holding, a portal for waananga, where we can nourish our connection to our own inner harikoa, learn about the constellation of Matariki, and remember our beloved ancestors, through the ancient healing arts of waiata (singing and chanting), puoro (sound and music), and movement.
Let us come together to celebrate our Reo Maaori and learn about musical aspects of Wharenui Harikoa to activate joy.
