Poetry at the Museum | Hamilton Book Month

25 August 2023

1.30pm to 4pm

Free but registration required

Celebrate National Poetry Day on Friday 25 August by enjoying some poetry at Waikato Museum.

Explore the exhibitions Of This Place: Margot Philips’ Landscapes, Rita Angus: New Zealand Modernist | He Ringatoi Hou o Aotearoa and the 2023 National Contemporary Art Award to stir up inspiration.

Dadon Rowell will then facilitate some poetry writing and invite people to share poems they've written based on the exhibitions.

This is a free event and registration is required. This event is in partnership with Hamilton Book Month with sponsorship from National Poetry Day.
