Don’t miss sculptor and installation artist Elizabeth Thomson in conversation with ‘Cellular Memory exhibition curator Gregory O’Brien at Waikato Museum.

Set within the largest ever presentation of her captivating artworks, the pair will discuss Thomson’s rich and wide-ranging practice fuelled by poetic imagination as well as research, field work, and long hours in the studio.

As the final iteration of its nationwide tour, the critically acclaimed Elizabeth Thomson: Cellular Memoryhas been tailored for display in Waikato Museum’s largest gallery. The wildly inventive exhibition attests to Thomson’s decades-long commitment to grappling with both natural history and the human condition.

 

This unique after-hours event is free to attend for Friends of Waikato Museum, or $15 for non-members. You can join the Friends of the Museum online or sign up on the night.
