Join us in the lead up to Christmas with festive crafts inspired by the holiday season and current exhibitions here at Waikato Museum.

Spend quality time around the crafting table with friends and family, with a new fun craft to create and take home daily.

All materials are provided free of charge.

Saturday 17 to Friday 23 December: Christmas Colouring

Every day throughout the season, we will have a range of Christmas colouring-in pages available to decorate at our crafting table or take home with you.

Saturday 17 December: Build a Village

Decorate a card 'gingerbread' house or make your own advent calendar Christmas village, inspired by our exhibition Jellicoe & Bledisloe.

Sunday 18 December: Wild Festive Cards

Go wild and create fun animal-themed Christmas cards with us today, inspired by our exhibition Wildlife Photographer of the Year.

Monday 19 December: Wild Ornaments

Today we'll be making animal-themed ornaments for you to take home and decorate your Christmas tree! Inspired by our exhibition Wildlife Photographer of the Year.

Tuesday 20 December: Snow Globes

Take home a snowy scene from today's craft session! We'll be creating winter scenes in glass jars for a DIY Christmas snow globe.

Wednesday 21 December: Tree Decorations

Join us for a feel-good activity today: Create felt Christmas ornaments to take home and decorate your tree.

Thursday 22 December: Table Decorations

Make some handcrafted creations to add some festive cheer to your dining table during Christmas meals.

Friday 23 December: Christmas Crackers

Join in as we finish Christmas Crafts season with a bang! We'll be making DIY Christmas crackers for you to take home in time for Christmas.
