Mary McIntyre (b.1928) is a renowned figurative painter in New Zealand and her works are a mix of New Zealand regionalism and prickly humour. Her art career began while she was a farmer in Hamilton.

McIntyre has established herself as one of New Zealand's foremost realist figurative painters. Her landscape works celebrate the wonderful sculptural qualities of New Zealand's topography, particularly the volcanoes of Auckland. This is a chronology of works as noted over the years by Barry Hopkins, a long-time friend of McIntyre. There is a great sense of synergy in their humour and artistic sensibility.
