Art Explorers - Summer Holidays 2024

These hands-on art classes will expand your child’s knowledge of art and introduce them to creative crafting techniques.

In each session we will be inspired by an artist’s work or museum object to produce our own original pieces to take home.

Let's Dive In!

Monday 8 January 9am to 3pm

Our exhibition In the Swim celebrates the fun of summer swimming. Spend today creating your own miniature surfboard, plus arts and crafts inspired by swimming and our awa, the Waikato River.

Woolly Wonders

Tuesday 9 January 9am to 3pm

Visit the Wharenui Harikoa and be inspired by Lissy and Rudi's House of Joy! Then create your own woolly creations to display or play with.

Batty About Bats

Friday 12 January 9am to 3pm

Bats hold a unique role in the environment of Kirikiriroa Hamilton, so today we will go batty and theme our activities arounds the wonderful pekapeka. Make bat-inspired art and craft, and even take home your own soft toy to inspire your environmental journey!
