Anna currently lives in Tihorangi, Opotiki. She has a diploma in Textile Design from Wellington Ploytechnic.
The artist works with a combination of materials - flax, feathers, paua, shells, glass, pounamu and cotton/rayon threads.
Anna says, "I have learned all the traditional Maori skills associated with weaving harakeke and have used those skills and knowledge to design and make perfectly miniature kete (traditional carry/ handbags) and kahu kura (traditional cloaks). With careful attention and selection of framing, my works can be displayed in traditional or contemporary settings."
