Hamilton History Tour

Collection Secrets tour
Waikato Museum is kaitiaki (guardian) of a diverse collection of taonga (treasures) with a focus on the people, history, culture and art of the Waikato. Venture into the usually off-limits areas of the museum collection to view the amazing objects and learn about the techniques and methods of preservation. See nationally significant artworks, priceless objects that demonstrate the skill and knowledge of local Maaori, and social history items that show what everyday life was like in the Waikato.

For Us They Fell Exhibition Tours
Free guided tours of For Us They Fell are available daily including public holidays, from 11am. Meet our tour guide in the Museum foyer. We will be running guided tours at 11.00am, 12.00pm, 1.00pm and 2.00pm on ANZAC Day.
Guided tours must be booked at least 24 hours prior to arrival. There is no charge for booking cancelled prior to the tour date. Groups will be invoiced 100% of booked tour if cancellation is received on the day of booking. All rates are retail and GST inclusive. Rates valid until June 2019.
