Join Emeritus Professor Helen Leach from the University of Otago for Re-creating (or Re-catering?) Katherine Mansfield's "The Garden Party", a public talk sponsored by Heritage New Zealand, Waikato Museum, and the Gastronomy and Garden's Food History Symposium. (The symposium is being held at Hamilton Gardens.)  

Helen Leach is a culinary anthropologist and Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit. She spent 10 years collecting and cataloguing over 2,000 New Zealand-published cookbooks as part of her research on the history and development of Kiwi cuisine. She is the author of 22 books and has contributed over 40 chapters to various publications.
