Dance Folkus invites you to return to circa 1800 for a delightful exhibition of English country dances from the Regency period popularised through films of Jane Austen’s novels. Dancers will demonstrate the patterns, and we hope you will be persuaded to join in, all the while channelling your inner D’Arcy and Elizabeth on the dance floor. After all, Jane Austen believed that ‘to be fond of dancing was a certain step towards falling in love’. Take a step back in time and come along in appropriate attire if you dare! No partner needed – suitable for young and old alike (children must be partnered by an adult).
