16 December 2017
Auckland Art Gallery Curator Julia Waite talks about the significant effect of Cubism on New Zealand painting.
UPDATE: Unfortunately, Julia Waite is no longer able to deliver this talk. In her place, we are privileged to have Linda Tyler share her wealth of knowledge on cubism in New Zealand art.
Linda Tyler has taught art and design history at Canterbury, Victoria, Waikato and Auckland universities and at the Dunedin School of Art and Unitec. She currently teaches art writing and curatorial practice at Honours level in the Art History Department, and supervises student research in the University’s Museums and Cultural Heritage programme. She curated an exhibition of the work of John Weeks at Adam Art Gallery at Victoria University in 1999 and has published a biographical study of the artist.
