Using the medium of handmade felt, Created takes as its starting point the biblical description of the creation of man and woman. What follows is an exploration of the attributes that make us inherently male and female - how one gender is designed to complement the other. The series journeys from the moment of conception, the point at which the sex of a human being is determined, through to adulthood. Organic cellular shapes give way to more sculptural abstract forms that describe common perceptions of masculinity and femininity.

Caroline's work has a strong spiritual component, with each piece being an expression of aspects of her faith. A background in engineering has fuelled her fascination with three-dimensional structures and the relationships between different forms within an environment.
